The District Chairperson Honourable Ssembuusi Drake Semuya was sworn in and thereafter, in his maiden speech he  thanked people of Kassanda for voting for him and he also informed that he is not a ruler but rather a leader who will prioritize interests of the people of Kassanda. He pledged to focus on Education, Health and Works department for the better service Delivery. on the same day, all District Councilors were Sworn in and during the first Council, the Executive Committee, Speaker, Deputy Speaker and the Deputy Chairperson were elected.
